The Riley coffee table.

The top is carefully curated hardwood. It has a heavy bevel on the bottom edge that gives it a light feeling... but, it's incredible solid. Able to sit, have the kids jump up and down on. The floating top adds to the light feel. The legs come into the aprons at an angle in a bridle joint. And the base for the top is mortised into the aprons. Did we mention the cross support mortised into the legs. The exposed joinery is really out of this world.

Enough on the nerdy details though. This one has a simple elegance. Our hand applied wiping varnish is heavy on the tung oil and really brings out the a depth in the wood grain. The design has a far east vibe. And the exposed joinery really is wonderful to live with.
