The Montrose Stool with a back has all the cool joinery details of the original with a back. Made from solid hardwoods with a carved seat for comfort. Constructed with lots of exposed joinery and interesting details. The top of the legs are bridle joints, let into the seat. The foot rest is mortised into the front legs.

The carved seat is designed to fit your body and in combination with the back is extremely comfortable.

Our bridle collection is a design exploration around the bridle joint, an open mortise and tenon. The name Montrose is a after a horse that won the Kentucky Derby in 1887.

Finished with a hand applied wiping varnish.

Seat height is 27" to fit standard kitchen counters. Also available as 24" seat height and 31" bar height.
