How far can you reduce the concept of a table?
The idea was to create a better flow through the living room. A woodstove was being added into the space and the existing, rectangular table was going to be a bit awkward to get around. I switched out the heavy rectangle with a light, stretched out oval.
It’s built more like a bench than a coffee table. A beautiful walnut top and legs that pierce the top and are secured with a wedge. They have a slight splay and rake.
Finished with a hand rubbed, hard-wax oil finish.
